Dr. Benno Quade
            

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Dr. Benno Quade has been a member of the Management Board of Software AG since August 2022 (under contract until 2025) and is responsible for Customer Operations, Professional Services, IT as well as Trendminer and the Alfabet Customer Center.

Prior to his role as COO, Dr. Quade most recently served as Chief Customer Success Officer (CCO) where he led the company’s Go-to-Market organizations to include Customer Success, License Renewals and Professional Services, and as COO Global GtM. Dr. Quade’s focus as both CCO and COO was and is the continuous improvement of the Customer Experience. To further Software AG’s growing subscription model, Dr. Quade and his teams work to create an outstanding customer experience (external and internal), accelerate customer time-to-value, and extend that value throughout the customer lifecycle.

In 2012, Dr. Quade joined Software AG as Corporate Counsel and held General Counsel leadership positions in a number of lines of business including: Legal, Corporate M&A, IP and Technology Compliance. In 2019, as COO Go-to-Market, he led Software AG’s “Helix” strategic transformation initiative.

Dr. Quade studied Law, Philosophy and History at the Universities of Regensburg and Heidelberg and holds a PhD in Law from the University of Munich. He is a lecturer at the "German University of Administrative Sciences" in Speyer (Deutsche Universität für Verwaltungswissenschaften). With numerous talks and publications, Dr. Quade has made a name for himself as a thought leader in the legal tech area.

Dr. Quade is married with three children and lives in Darmstadt, Germany.
