Chief Financial Officer

Martin Biegel joined Software AG’s Management Team as Chief Financial Officer in August 2024 and is responsible for Controlling, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and General Services. He previously served the company as Senior Vice President Finance, with primary responsibility for the company’s external financial reporting, ESG/sustainability, and risk management.

Before joining Software AG in July 2022, Martin spent 14 years in public accounting, most recently as an audit partner at Deloitte. He started his career with KPMG, where he specialized in the audit of large SEC registered companies, including during a 3-year international assignment in New York. With his move to Deloitte in 2018, Martin shifted his focus on sales and go-to market activities.

Martin holds a master’s degree (M. Sc.) in accounting and taxation from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and qualified as a “Wirtschaftsprüfer” in 2012. Together with his family, he lives in Heidelberg, Germany.
