The aim of iECO is to create a common data space for the construction industry based on Gaia-X and to use this to create a tamper-proof digital twin of the entire life cycle of a building. Thanks to the digital twin, data no longer has to be exchanged bilaterally and at great expense, but is available immediately and to everyone. On the one hand, this drastically reduces the companies' coordination costs, and on the other, it reduces the risk of important information being lost in the value chain.

Cumulocity IoT is used here for the prototype implementation of a platform for recording energy consumption during the operation of machine tools. Companies can quickly connect the sensors of their machine tools to Cumulocity IoT and thus determine the CO2 emissions generated depending on the type of energy, which can even be assigned to each individual workpiece if required.
ARIS Process Mining is used to identify real processes in machining production by using the entries from various systems to draw conclusions about the actual process steps performed. Not only can deviations from planned process sequences be detected, but energy consumption and therefore CO2 emissions can also be allocated if the machine tools do not have sensors. In addition, costs arising from employee wages or material consumption, for example, can be automatically derived.

NARRATE will develop a sophisticated tool using AI, Digital Twin, and IoT technologies allowing end-to-end visibility and control over supply chain operations to monitor and predict potential disruptions, enabling supply chains to achieve improved resilience. The Intelligent Manufacturing Custodian (IMC) will leverage data from various production sources to enable proactive decision-making and act as a nerve center for a supply-chain network, providing real-time monitoring and coordination of intelligent production processes and logistics.
Duration
December 2023 to November 2026
APAMA can be used to provide early warning of delivery delays. This can provide insights for more efficient processes, e.g. through targeted savings in energy resources.
Description
Objective is to reduce the waste of food in production and retail - for instant almost one third of all milk produced is lost in the value chain before it is bought by customers. To solve this huge economic but above all societal problem, REIF investigates the potential of Artificial Intelligence to optimize planning and controllability of the value chain. The core is the conception of an AI ecosystem that integrates stakeholders at all stages of the value chain.
Duration
February 2020 to June 2023 (implementation period)

SynErgie will demonstrate how energy-intensive production processes can be adjusted to a volatile energy supply. The project is developing a synchronization platform that steers and monitors energy distribution within the production system and responds to flexibility requirements within the power system in a highly dynamic manner. The focus of the third funding phase is on generalizing, standardizing and validating the solutions developed in the first and second funding phases and to further enhance the integration capabilities of the SynErgie technology stack.
SynErgie shows how energy-intensive production processes can be adapted to a volatile energy supply. The project is developing a synchronization platform with Cumulocity IoT and ARIS that controls and monitors energy distribution within the production system and reacts highly dynamically to flexibility requirements in the electricity system.
